Company Fined Over Ractopamine in Pork
RUSSIA - A Russian company has been fined 20,000 rubles for selling imported US pork products that were found to contain traces of ractopamine.The pork products were part of a consignment of 24,222 kg imported into the Magadan region of Russia to an establishment where products containing ractopamine had already been discovered in September last year.
This consignment, imported towards the end of December, were further processed by a company, Scythia, for sale in Magadan, the Republic of Sakha and Khabarovsk.
