BPEX Discusses Inspection Cost Issues at VIV Asia

THAILAND - Farming minister David Heath took part in the opening ceremony of VIV Asia in Bangkok, the largest livestock trade show in the region, attended by more than 30 UK companies including several pig breeders and breeding companies.

In discussions with the Thai Government the Minster of State raised the issue of costly inspections for British pig breeders exporting to Thailand.

He also attended the evening reception to which all companies were able to invite their customers.

UKTI and Embassy staff from countries around the region were invited to the show to find out more about the potential for British pig genetics exports and attended a lunch to meet David Heath.
