Calculator to Help Pork Industry Go Green
AUSTRALIA - The Australian pork industry was the first industry to adopt the Federal Government's carbon farming initiative and now it's hoped a new project will help the pork sector go greener.

PigGas is a calculator designed to help pork producers work out their farm's greenhouse gas emissions.
According to ABC, developer Ian Kruger believes the calculator will have multiple benefits.
"There are potential savings in energy, income streams from carbon trading, but we're also looking at just how some farmers just want to make a contribution to environmental management and reducing Australia's greenhouse gas emissions."
