By farm class, this figure breaks down as follows since the week of 15 April: suckling, 23; nursery, 30; grower/finisher, 183; sows/boars, 74 and 52 unknown.

Since the start of reporting, a total of 14 states are known to have been affected. Those with 10 or more positive tests are: Iowa, 142; Oklahoma, 96; Minnesota, 36; Kansas, 19; Indiana, 18; Ohio, 11 and Colorado, 10.

In mid-June, the reporting system was adjusted. For the weeks prior to 16 June, laboratories were able to provide diagnostic case submissions and number of premises testing positive for PEDv.

Since the week of 16 June, the total numbers of swine samples testing positive in the most-affected states are: Oklahoma, 329; Kansas, 98; North Carolina, 78; Iowa, 68; Ohio, 49 and Minnesota, 37. Other states, where positive, reported fewer than 20 positives.

In the most recent week reported (week of 14 July), the following states reported one or more positive results: Colorado (3), Iowa (16), Indiana (8), Kansas (35), Michigan (1), Minnesota (7), North Carolina (30) and Oklahoma (39).
