UK - At some point over the next few weeks a number of producers will be asked by ADAS to take part in a short telephone survey about responsible use of veterinary medicines.

According to the National Pig Association (NPA), it is important that the industry gets involved in this exercise, says NPA general manager Zoe Davies — not least because it may help keep over-zealous edicts from Brussels at bay.

The ADAS survey is being carried out on behalf of the Veterinary Medicines Directorate and specifically will look at the effectiveness of current guidance on responsible use of veterinary medicines, including guidelines from the Responsible Use of Medicines in Agriculture (RUMA).

The RUMA guidelines can be viewed by clicking here.
