Russia Reports Further Cases of ASF
RUSSIA - Samples were taken from wild boar which were found dead near the villages of Titov in the Borislobegsky region of Yaraslavl and in the Novoduginsky region of Smolensk. The tested samples confirmed further incidents of African Swine Fever.Currently these regions are the focus for specialists from the state veterinary authorities and priority control measures have been put in place.
Prior to these two cases there have been cases reported in 14 different areas both among wild boar and domestic pigs this year. These include cases in North Ossetia-Alania, Voronezh, Rostov, Volgograd, Tver, Tambov, Saratov, Belgorod, Smolensk, Moscow, Pskov, Yaroslavl, Tula and Krasnodar
