By farm class, this figure breaks down as follows since the week of 15 April: suckling, 90; nursery, 76; grower/finisher, 224; sows/boars, 108 and 78 unknown. The total is up 31 from a week ago.

Once again, no new states reported a positive result in the last week and so the total affected remains at 17. Those states with 10 or more positive tests are: Iowa, 181; Oklahoma, 142; Kansas, 70; Minnesota, 43; North Carolina, 34; Indiana, 24, Colorado, 24, Ohio, 15 and Pennylvania, 12. Of these states, Kansas reported the highest number of new cases at eight.

In mid-June, the reporting system was adjusted. For the weeks prior to 16 June, laboratories were able to provide diagnostic case submissions and the number of premises testing positive for PEDv. Since 16 June, the data refer only to diagnostic cases submissions ('swine accessions').

From the week of 16 June to week of 1 September, the total number of swine accessions testing positive is 1,385, up from 1,300 the previous week (+85). The most-affected states are: Oklahoma, 442; Kansas, 365; North Carolina, 180; Colorado, 73; Iowa, 152; Ohio, 55; Minnesota, 51 and Indiana, 25. Other states, where positive, reported 20 positives or fewer.

In the most recent week reported (week of 1 September), the following states reported one or more positive results: Colorado (26), Iowa (9), Indiana (1), Kansas (20), Minnesota (2), North Carolina (12), Oklahoma (6) and Pennsylvania (9).
