African Swine Fever Continues to Spread

RUSSIA - African swine fever continues to spread among wild boars living in sanctuaries in the Volgograd Region.

Tests were carried out on 16 December at the Volgograd regional veterinary laboratory.

Animals from the state reserve in Olkhovskiy Municipal District, Volgograd region, were selected for the test.

The genetic material used in the test pointed out the presence of the ASF pathogen.

Currently, specialists are focusing on the Volgograd region under the supervision of the Office of Rosselkhoznadzor for Rostov and Volgograd regions and the Republic of Kalmykia.
