CANADA - From regular updates on the Alberta Pork website and at its recent AGM, Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea (PED) continues to spread in the United States with up to 100 per cent mortality in nursing pigs.

In an effort to keep the disease out of Canada and protect producers and their farms, Alberta Pork collaborated with the Canadian Swine Health Board (CHSB) and Alberta Agriculture & Rural Development on a one page resource for producers outlining how to prevent PED and what to do if producers suspect it in animals.
