Mr Cameron inked a deal during his recent visit to export pig sperm worth 45 million pounds ($73.7 million) to China.

Jiang Deyang, chief of the animal husbandry divison of the Chengdu Agricultural Commission, was quoted as saying, "Chengdu has introduced pig breeds from the United States and Canada, but has never introduced them from Britain."

Foreign pigs can yield leaner meat than Chinese hogs.
