Hog Outlook: PED Virus Could Cut Off from 2014 Hog Slaughter
US - Canada has its first case of the PED virus. A farrow to finish operation in Ontario was confirmed with the disease on Wednesday. The US has more than 2,000 farms with PED. The PED virus is likely to trim two per cent or so off of 2014 hog slaughter, write Ron Plain and Scott Brown.
