More African Swine Fever in Russia
RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported a further outbreak of African swine fever at a farm in Tula Oblast in western Russia.The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received a second follow-up report on 3 February.
According to the report, a total of 57,047 pigs on a breeding farm were involved, out of which 370 died. A total of 119 pigs were destroyed.
The source of the outbreaks remains inconclusive.
The usual measures have been put in place in order to control the situation.
