A fourth suspected cases of PED has been reported in Oita prefecture on Kyushu, reports E-Obs.

The infection is suspected after typical symptoms were seen in about 140 animals, including piglets, at a pig farm in Bungo-ono and investigations are underway.

The authorities have warned pig farmers to avoid moving pigs and to maintain strict biosecurity.

Previous PED outbreaks were confirmed in the last month in the same prefecture - at Taketa and Hita.
