The light replaces 100W and 125W incandescent lamps that fail frequently due to the harsh environment of modern swine facilities and because they are enclosed in jelly jar fixtures that prevent air flow.

The Agrishift MLS easily installs into existing standard Jelly Jar fixtures and eliminates the issues of short lifetime and frequent relamping.

The MLS was, as ONCE like to say: “Built for your Barn” with heavy-duty IP66 environmental protection for high pressure wash down applications and an external heat sink for cool operation of the LEDs. Additionally, the LED light is highly efficient and operates well in the extreme environmental conditions and harsh corrosive environment of pig barns. Additional dimming capability and extremely low EMI are even more reasons to take advantage of the MLS capabilities over the traditional CFL lamp.

By using the AgriShift MLS in new construction and to retrofit existing jelly jar CFL sockets, farmers are eliminating the frequent relamping and associated maintenance traffic in and out of the barns that goes along with it. And because the MLS is high-pressure washable, no special precautions or procedures are required when washing down the barn. The lamp produces a high-output, bright white light dispersed evenly throughout the barn eliminating shadows and aiding in inspections. These benefits are in addition to the energy savings and associated reduction in electric costs which can reach upwards of 60 per cent.

Come see the new products from ONCE at the 2013 World Pork Expo in Des Moines Iowa on June 4 through 6 at booth 357 VIB.
