The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 5 on Monday, 21 July, stating that the affected population comprises wild boars and farmed pigs.

According to the report, four wild boars were affected as a result of the outbreak, out of which three were reportedly found dead. The remaining one wild boar was destroyed.

In the case of farmed pigs, a total of 134 animals were found susceptible, out of which ten cases were reported. Out of the ten affected pigs, six animals were found dead. The remaining 128 pigs were destroyed.

The source of the outbreaks remains inconclusive.

Several control measures have been put in place to control the situation.
