KAZAKHSTAN - A pig-breeding farm and selection hybrid centre for 1,800 breeding pigs were opened in the Almaty region, the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry said.

Pursuant to realization of the Agribusiness 2020 programme, it is planned to increase pork production in carcass weight at commercial farms up to 161,000 tons, the message reads.

The hybrid centre is purposed to satisfy soon increased demand in forward meat hybrids of the domestic selection and implement the country's crossbreeding system.
