Russia Reports African Swine Fever in Three Wild Boar

RUSSIA - Three more wild boar at two locations in the west of the country have tested positive for the African swine fever virus.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No.17 dated 3 July to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

Two outbreaks were reported. The first was at Troyanovo in Kaluga oblast on 17 June, and two animals were involved in the second outbreak on 30 June at Vlaskovo in Novgorod oblast.

At the location of the more recent outbreak, the wild boar carcasses were found and have been incinerated.
