Three Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Latvian Wild Boar

LATVIA - Seven wild boar at three locations have tested positive for African swine fever this week.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No.2 dated 3 July to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE)

It describes three outbreaks of African swine fever in wild boar between 29 June and 2 July. All seven animals were shot in the counties of Dagdas or Kraslavas, which are in the far east of the country, not far from the border with Russia and where previous outbreaks have occurred.
