Although earlier this week an inadequate supply was met with a good demand, many producers were hoping for a higher price.

These quantities on offer were pushed at the end of the week. Hence, the supply was enough to handle the demand. At the same time slaughter companies complain the weak meat business.

Due to the holidays in nearly all states in Germany the demand is low. The processing industry turns out no more than what is absolutely necessary, so the statement of the slaughter companies.

However, even in the southern European countries the prices are unchanged or actually declining.
In Spain and France, the prices quoted minimally lower, but in Italy is a weaker price expected.

Trend for the german market:

The euphoria of the last week appears to evaporate. The Business runs smoothly, but nobody of the market partners can be satisfied. In today´s perspective the price will be unchanged.
