More Russian Pigs Affected by African Swine Fever

RUSSIA - There have been five more outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Russia.

Two of the outbreaks affected wild boar. There were six cases, with two of the wild boar dead from the disease and two destroyed to prevent spread.

The other three outbreaks affected village pigs. There were 13 cases out of a susceptible population of 26 pigs. Ten pigs died and the other 16 were destroyed.

The outbreaks occurred in the Saratovskaya, Orlovskaya and Kurskaya regions.
