More Wild Boar Die from ASF in Latvia

LATVIA - The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) has confirmed 34 more outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Latvia.

The outbreaks only affected wild boar, as no pig holdings were mentioned in the latest report.

In all, 45 wild boar were infected with the disease. Of these animals, 33 died from the disease and the other 12 were hunted and then destroyed.

The outbreaks occurred all over the eastern side of Latvia.
