Estonia Reports Further ASF in Farmed Pigs

ESTONIA - Eighteen more outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) have been reported in wild boar and swine.

In total, outbreaks in wild boar were detected at 16 locations across the country and 21 cases were reported.

In swine, four cases were detected at a farm in Tarvastu parish, Viljandi county. All 2149 pigs on the farm were destroyed in response.

A backyard swine operation in Rakke parish, Lääne-Viru county, also reported a case of ASF and all three pigs at the site have now been destroyed.
