UK - A 52 year old man has been arrested after 1,600 pigs were found dead on a farm in Harewood, West Yorkshire.

The pigs were initially discovered after police visited the farm in November after concerns were raised about the welfare of a man at the farm.

The pigs were found in various states of decomposition.

The investigation is being led by Leeds City Council Environmental Health.
