China to auction frozen pork from state reserves

China will auction 30,000 tonnes of frozen pork from state reserves on 27 May

Reuters reports that the China Merchandise Reserve Management Centre will auction 30,000 tonnes of frozen pork from state reserves today.

The country has sold at least 330,000 tonnes of pork from reserves so far in 2020 to boost supplies after a deadly African swine fever decimated its massive pig herd.
