Minister says that China’s hog inventories to return to end-2017 levels before June 2021

China’s agriculture minister said that the country’s pig herd is expected to return to end-2017 levels by around June of 2021.

In a news briefing, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Tang Renjian told Reuters that the worst pork shortage period had passed and that supplies will be more ample going forward.
