China reports ASF outbreak in Xinjiang

China’s agriculture ministry has confirmed an outbreak of African swine fever in the Xinjiang region on 24 March.

Reuters reports that the outbreak occurred on a farm in Yili prefecture with 466 pigs and 280 pig died. A statement from the ministry said that the remaining pigs had been culled.
