Pork line speed ruling "disastrous for small US hog farmers", says NPPC
The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) is seeking a remedy from the USDA to prevent processors from slowing their slaughter line speeds, saying that the reduced speeds will negatively impact small-scale pig farmers and reduce competition.
