He was a pioneer, a mentor, a role model. But above all, he was a very fine person. On 26 July, Bo Edvard Måns Molin passed away at the age of 87 in his home country Sweden.

Bo Molin was one of the most influential people at Big Dutchman for many decades. He shaped us, the corporate culture and the global expansion.

Having grown up on a farm around 100 kilometres north of Gothenburg, he had learned the business from the ground up. As a trained and qualified farmer, he always spoke to customers on an equal footing. All over the world.

In the early 1990s, Bo packed his bags and flew to Asia, where he did real pioneer work, setting up the equipment supplier’s locations in Malaysia and later in China.

At the end of the decade, he returned to Europe and made Vechta his adopted home. From then on, Bo was a member of the management team at Big Dutchman AG.

He was a team player who was happy to pass on his knowledge. He taught us to always stay on top of things in business while remaining human.

Bo was also a true gentleman. Always polite and charming. Sympathetic and benevolent.

The great Swede finally retired in 2016. At almost 79 years old.

Bo, you shaped us. As a company and as people. We will cherish your memory. And are grateful for everything you did for us.
