Antibiotic Resistance – Impact on the Irish Pig Industry
The science behind antimicrobial resistance was outlined by David G. S. Burch of Octagon Services Ltd of the UK at the Irish Pig Health Society Symposium in Mullingar in May 2012. He comments that good ‘evidence-based’ science may be utilised by the regulators to come to reasonable and responsible conclusions for future legislation.
