New Minister will Walk the English Pigmeat Chain

This is likely to take place on Thursday (25 June) next week.

A venue has not been set but it needs to be reasonably near to London and to offer producers, a compounder and an abattoir in close proximity — so will probably take place in East Anglia.

The first minister to walk the chain in this way was Jim Fitzpatrick's predecessor Jane Kennedy. She found it useful, and so did the pig industry.
