BIVI Announces Promotions Within Swine Team
US - In response to its growing swine business and need for technical field support, Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc., (BIVI) announces the promotion of three professional service veterinarians.
Tom Wetzell, DVM, has been promoted to senior veterinarian, Swine Professional Services, for BIVI’s Midwest region, which includes Minnesota and Iowa. Dr Wetzell will provide technical product and customer service support for the region. Prior to joining BIVI, Dr. Wetzell was in practice for more than 30 years, during which time he received the American Association of Swine Veterinarians’ “Swine Practitioner of the Year award” in 2004. Dr Wetzell, who received his doctor of veterinary medicine from the University of Minnesota, will continue to reside in Wells, Minn.
Angela Baysinger, DVM, has been promoted to senior veterinarian for BIVI’s Midwest/Eastern Corn Belt region, which includes Kansas and Nebraska. Dr Baysinger has more than 18 years of experience in the swine industry and was most recently with Farmland Foods before joining BIVI in 2007. Dr Baysinger provides special technical emphasis on field trials and projects associated with food safety and animal harvest for BIVI. She will continue to reside in Bruning, Nebraska.
Greg Cline, DVM, has been promoted to senior veterinarian, Swine Professional Services, for the national accounts team, overseeing product field trials throughout the US. Dr Cline has more than 20 years of experience in the animal health industry. Dr Cline will continue to reside in Kansas City, Missouri.
