Acquisition of Pfizer Assets by Lilly Cleared

EU - The European Commission has cleared the acquisition of animal health assets of Pfizer by Eli Lilly & Co.
The European Commission has granted clearance under the EU Merger Regulation to the acquisition of animal health assets of Pfizer by Eli Lilly & Co, both of the US.
Eli Lilly is a research-based, global pharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development, manufacture and sale of a range of pharmaceutical products for humans and animals. Pfizer is active in the production of vaccines for animals.
The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
