Individual Feeding Stations for Topig's Sow Lines

NETHERLANDS - TOPIGS has expanded the use feeding stations for individual feed intake registration (I-FIR) in the breeding programme.
Registering the feed intake makes breeding for feed efficiency in dam lines more effective.
The feeding stations will be located at TOPIGS nucleus farms. TOPIGS will implement 80 extra feeding stations to each line, which represents an investment of €500,000 per line. However, this will help our customers reduce costs, as in the future feed costs will increasingly determine the cost price of pork.
