ASF Outbreak Reported in Kursk Oblast

RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) in the Kursk or Kurskaya oblast region, affecting backyard pigs at a private subsidiary holding.
The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 70 last week (28 October).
One animal was found susceptible to the outbreak, and was destroyed.
The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive and is under investigation.
