More ASF Reported in Kenya

05 December 2016

KENYA - Another outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) has been reported on a farm in Senyende, Kenya.

The farm reported 168 cases out of the 320 pigs susceptible.

Most pigs in the region are free range with no housing.

The source of the outbreak is thought to be due to the introduction of new live animals, the illegal movement of animals and swill feeding.
