Translation of information received on 31 March 2003 from Dr Luc Lengelé, Chief Veterinary Officer, Animal Health and Animal Products Department, Federal State Service for Public Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment, Brussels:

End of previous report period: 13 November 2002 (see Disease Information, 15 [46], 240, dated 15 November 2002).

End of this report period: 31 March 2003.

Since the last notification, no other cases of classical swine fever (CSF) in wild boar have been reported in Belgium.

Note by the OIE Central Bureau: No outbreaks of CSF in domestic pigs have been reported to the OIE by Belgium since July 1997.
