A Statement from the National Pork Producers Council
WASHINGTON, D.C.- A U.S. Sixth Circuit Court panel's ruling that the Pork Checkoff is unconstitutional has no direct impact on the National Pork Producers Council, which is voluntarily funded by pork producers nationwide.

NPPC represents America's pork producers in Washington, D.C., working to increase U.S. pork exports, protect producers against costly and burdensome environmental regulations and defend responsible animal health and welfare practices.
Further questions regarding the court ruling should be directed to the National Pork Board, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S. Department of Justice.
