Meat company boss busted for mislabeling Canadian pork

JAPAN - The president of a meat wholesaler in Kagoshima Prefecture was arrested Thursday for mislabeling Canadian pork that the firm was selling as locally produced meat, police said. Kazumitsu Higashi, 45, president of the Osumi Sanchoku Center based in Kanoya, is accused of violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Law.
