Sick Western Cape swine don't have cholera

SOUTH AFRICA - The disease which has killed several pigs at Philippi on the Cape Flats is not the feared hog cholera, Cobus Dowry, the Western Cape agriculture MEC, said today. He said the outbreak of Salmonella cholerasuis in the Philippi piggery had led to widespread concern among pig producers countrywide.
