EU Pig Prices: Market Production Trends Changing
EU - The EU slaughter pig market has registered the change of direction due from the producers' view.

The market presents itself stably and some quotations register first price increases. The German price is again a model character and gives with a corrected 1.476 EUR/kg SG a clear +4 cents. The Netherlands follows, as do Belgium and Austria, although the latter has not yet completely reduced the overhangs. Relief also hails in Spain: season-typical and 10 weeks the continuous price decline is finally stopped.
In Denmark, the new trend has not made an arrival yet and the pig prices continue to go downhill. Thus the corrected price level of the northern neighbour ranks last but one place and "the old market regulations" are almost restored. The demand for individual member states after the introduction of export reimbursements for pork and private storekeeping actually part from the inexpediency of such measures.
Trend: Further prospects for the European slaughter pig market are very promising. Against the background, the powerful dollar rising conversions are not only expected in the export trade.
