After 21 years as chairman of the German branch of European Pig Producers (EPP), Franz Meyer zu Holte has retired as chairman of the German ISN (Interessengemeinschaft der Schweinehalter Nord-Westdeutschland). The new chairman is Heinrich Dierkes, formerly vice chairman of the ISN.

The agriculture secretary of Lower Saxony, Hans Heinrich Ehlen, DLG President Carl Albrecht Bartmer and ZDS chairman Helmut Ehlen honoured Franz Meyer zu Holte as outstanding character of the German agriculture. He was also as founder of the German ISN, significantly involved in building up the German 'Vereinigungspreis', which is the basic price for slaughter pigs in the North-West of Europe.

EPP says it is proud to have in Franz Meyer zu Holte a trend-setting pig farmer with great experience and contacts all over Europe and looks forward to continued cooperation with him.
