New Assignment for 'Virtual Walk the Pens'

US - The new assignment for Pfizer Animal Health's 'Virtual Walk the Pens' simulator has just been released. In this sixth scenario, the virtual co-worker has noticed pigs are coughing in increasing numbers. Players must must find out why!

On the virtual farm, pigs have arrived coughing and uninterested in food. It looks like death loss could get high on this group if we cannot get them turned around.

The last caregiver said it did not seem to matter what she did, pigs would not take off and eat well. Many of the pigs arrived as fall-outs and more fall-outs are occurring each day. This is unlike any group that she has ever seen and she would like your opinion on what you think is going on in this group.

"Please look at these pigs and take action to help make this situation better. I'm wondering if there is some sort of primary viral infection setting pigs up to have secondary bacterial infections," she says.

Playing the 'Virtual Walk the Pens' game

Remember you are competing against other players around the nation for each scenario. There is a competition to see who gets the best scores on this scenario and a competition to see who will get the best score over all scenarios. So come back next month to see what your next assignment will be and add more net profit (or loss) to your overall score based on your actions in the barn. What you do each day in the barn makes a difference.

In this scenario, helpful information from a virtual co-worker will be essential in determining the problem. The virtual veterinarian is still on hand for advice, and players can retry the scenario as many times as needed to improve their score.

The simulator is an online educational tool that can be played from any standard computer and is intended to help demonstrate the importance of Individual Pig Care.

If you want to set up a system competition, contact your Pfizer Sales Representative or Ken Haas ([email protected]).
