From Thursday, 24 June, to Saturday, 26 June, members of the Iowa Pork Producers Association will be grilling pork burgers outside Fareway stores and talking to customers about all things pork.

"Iowa's pork producers are thrilled to be teaming up with Fareway Stores for the 14thyear of the Fourth of July cookout," said IPPA Promotions Committee Chairman Leon Sheets, a producer from Ionia.

"We're pleased to have Tyson Foods part of this promotion this year. We encourage everyone come to their local Fareway stores to meet the pork producers who take pride in responsibly producing quality pork for you, and enjoy a pork burger along with some great pork values."

In this promotion, customers can stop by their local Fareway store and enjoy a tender and juicy pork burger for only $1.00. Customers also will receive a coupon and recipe booklet filled with delicious meal options that include Chairman's Reserve Premium Pork, produced by Tyson Foods.

Meanwhile, Fareway stores will feature great fresh pork specials to give customers some easy and economical grilling ideas. Customer savings include a $1.00 off coupon for Chairman's Reserve Premium Pork tenderloin and a link to the Fareway web site, where customers can access an additional coupon for $2.00 off any Chairman's Reserve Premium Pork purchase. Consumers also can receive a text message coupon via their mobile phone when they text the word "Pork" to 25827.

"We are very excited to kick off this year's Fourth of July holiday by partnering with the Iowa Pork Producers Association and Tyson's Chairman's Reserve Premium Pork to offer our customers great money-saving coupons and delicious recipes that keep Chairman's Reserve Premium Pork on their plates all summer long," said Fareway's Jeff Stearns.
