Pfizer Selects Four Interns for Team Pork
US - Pfizer Animal Health's US Pork Business Unit has named four interns who will be an integral part of their team - working with territory managers to implement diagnostic programs, manage on-farm trials and provide customer support.Jeff Hay, area sales manager for Pfizer Animal Health, explained: "The Pfizer internship programme is designed to identify talented young professionals who are passionate about the pork industry and provide hands-on experiences to help them grow their skills and further define their educational and career interests."
The interns are:
- Matthew Asmus – a recent graduate of Michigan State University from Vandalia, Michigan
- Joe Sperfslage – a recent graduate of Iowa State University from Coggon, Iowa
- Ryan Green – a Michigan State University student from Vandalia, Michigan, and
- Lindsey Lewis – a Purdue University student from Greenfield, Indiana.
Mr Hay added: "In addition to providing leading swine vaccines and anti-infectives, Pfizer supports the pork industry with programmes such as Individual Pig Care. One of the interns' responsibilities will be training pig care-givers on this programme that provides the skills needed to advance the care of pigs and provide judicious use of antibiotics."
