One New Outbreak of ASF Reported in Swine

RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported a new outbreak of African swine fever in Volgogradskaya oblast.

The World Organisation for Animal Health received follow-up report no. 49 on Monday, 24 January.

According to the report, a total of 20 animals were found susceptible to the disease. While six of the affected animals died, the remaining 16 were destroyed.

The source of the outbreak is to date under investigation.
