Ag Council to Discuss Animal Protein Use in Feed

EU - Among the topics on the agenda for the Agriculture & Fisheries Council meeting on Monday (21 February) are laying hen welfare and the future use of animal proteins in feeds for pigs and poultry.

The Agriculture & Fisheries Council will meet in Brussels on Monday (21 February). It will be chaired by Sándor Fazekas, Hungarian Minister for Rural Development. Commissioners John Dalli and Dacian Ciolos will represent the Commission at the meeting.

The points on the agenda include 'The CAP towards 2020' and, under 'Other business': the outcome of the multi-stakeholder meeting on the welfare of laying hens and a request from Poland to allow the use of processed animal protein in feeding of poultry and pigs.
