Asia’s emerging markets like India, Viet Nam and the Philippines topped the list of visitor countries. Of course, the number of visitors of China is also constantly on the rise and countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka now feature among the top 10. Due to the crisis situation in South Korea and Japan the visitor growth of those countries was lower.

Hypor participated at this successful exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand where a booth was shared with sister breeding company ISA, the layer breeding division of Hendrix Genetics.

For the first time Hypor introduced its new product portfolio to the Asian market. The acquisition of France Hybrides in 2008 and two Duroc breeders in 2009 (Shade Oak Swine) and 2010 (Designed Genetics) gave a huge boost to especially Hypor’s terminal sire lines.

Introduced were the Hypor Maxter, a leading Piétrain boar that combines strong growth with the right meat and carcass characteristics and Hypor Magnus, Hypor’s offer for the meat quality Duroc segment. Hypor Magnus field results indicate that it is one of the best Duroc lines available in the market.

Not only existing partners and customers visited the booth and showed interest in our company and products, we had also promising discussions with new prospects coming from different areas.

Asia is booming and Hypor is ready to play a major part in the development of breeding stock in the different Asian countries. With a network of strong local partners, successful joint ventures and our own local presence Hypor is ready to challenge the future.
