During the event, TOPIGS' specialists explained how to manage sows in group housing, which will become compulsory under EU law on 1 January 2013.
Each system of group housing can be successful, they said. How the farmer manages the system is one of the parameters for success.
TOPIGS has plenty of experience with group housing and so it could provide the visitors with lots of interesting advice.
Finally, the company invited different farmers to talk about there everyday experience of managing sows in group housing.
