Authorities Block Import of Pigs and Pig Meat
RUSSIA - The Russian food safety and veterinary authority, Rosselkhoznador, has blocked a shipment of pig meat from Germany and also a shipment of pigs from Denmark.

Rosselkhoznadzor in the St. Petersburg and Leningrad region blocked the pig carcasses from Germany in the sea port of St Petersburg because the products came with a refrigerator, excluded from the Register of enterprises entitled to carry controlled goods into the country.
On 1 November, Rosselkhoznadzor in the Tver and Pskov regions stopped a consignment of pigs from Denmark because they did not have the correct veterinary certification.
