In September four farms were depopulated and repopulated with TOPIGS animals.
A total of 3000 gilts were brought onto these farms.
Ten transports from Germany and two from Poland were imported into the Czech Republic.
Local TOPIGS production was also used for the population of two of these farms.
Farmers in the Czech Republic prefer TOPIGS pigs because of the good quality, performance, SPF status and large groups.
